Offering a stunning venue in East Lothian, just 6 miles from Edinburgh city centre, the beautiful Newhailes House is a stunning venue for your special day. The property is a much celebrated 17th century neo-palladian villa nestled in over eighty acres of peaceful woodlands and meadows.

Scrumptiously decorated with exquisite Chinese wallpaper and imposing Italian marble fireplaces, Newhailes would certainly offer an impressive backdrop for any photos. There are three options for ceremonies; the intimate vestibule, the modern styled courtyard or, of course, the formal lawn.

The formal lawn can be hired for the duration of your event and allows space for up to 200 guests for wedding ceremony, drinks reception, formal dinning and dancing. The grounds and gardens include raised walkway, a shell grotto and an unusual water garden. In recent years the trust have embarked upon a major project to restore several areas of the landscape including the Flower Garden and the Walled Kitchen Garden.

Newhailes offers you the country house in idyllic, rural location and yet it is just a stone’s throw from Edinburgh airport making it incredibly accessible, no matter where your guests are travelling from.
