Dumcrieff House is a classic Georgian, listed building; an idyllic country mansion available for exclusive-use hire for holidays and events.
Hiring Dumcrieff House gives you the opportunity to experience the rare privilege of spending a weekend, short break or longer holiday in your own Georgian Mansion set in private grounds within the historic Dumcrieff Estate.
With eight elegantly appointed double bedrooms (including four poster beds) and two spacious bedrooms, the property has welcomed many holidaying parties. The public rooms including a wonderful drawing room, reception hall with baby grand piano, snooker room and gorgeous dining room to seat 18. The large reception rooms make the property ideal for smaller parties and events whilst the option of a Best Intent Marquee on the lawn mean the guest list can be extended.
Dumcrieff House has an endless list of additional services which includes chefs, butlers, bartenders, live entertainment, car hire and much more – ideal if you are just visiting the area!
Best Intent Marquees were delighted to supply a traditional poled marquee for a wedding at Dumcrieff Estate in June. The clients found Dumcrieff by chance – the bride, Raclelle, was set to marry into the Galloway Clan, and thought it would be fitting to marry her Mr Galloway – whose family is now based in the USA – in Dumfries and Galloway! She did some research and found, and fell in love, with Dumcrieff. Dumcrieff recommended Best Intent Marquees and we supplied the marquee and all the furniture, arranged generator power through Arkwright Generators, for what turned out to be a magical day.
