Floors Castle is a truly exclusive location with a maximum of only three weddings permitted a year – a wedding at Floors is very special indeed!

This stunning venue is the historic home of the Duke of Roxburghe and his family. The interior decor is outstanding with the most wonderful collection of tapestries, portraits, furniture and porcelain on display. Rooms available to hire include a Ballroom with views of the front parks and River Tweed, a divine dining room and one of the finest drawing rooms on offer in the Scottish Borders.

Exclusive use hire of Floors Castle creates a truly unique, unrivalled event experience. In the past weddings have taken over the public rooms with guests being able to enjoy the Castle as a private home. The fact that high end corporate clients return time and time again is testament to the magic and versatility of Floors Castle.

It isn’t just the interior of the Castle that will amaze you, the grounds and gardens are equally beautiful and offer a variety of backdrops for any event.

 

Preservation of the original oak flooring in the Ballroom means that dancing is unfortunately not permitted in the Castle. However the lawns surrounding the building mean that guests can arrive in style through the front entrance, enjoy champagne and canapes by a roaring log fire in the drawing room and take dinner, provided by the Duke’s personal chef, in the dining room before heading out into the gardens and dancing the night away in a Best Intent Marquee. Panoramic window walls enable guests to enjoy the view over the River Tweed and the ruins of Roxburgh Castle.

For something a little different, the traditional walled gardens are home to the most wonderful herbaceous borders around. The pictures talk for themselves; the beautiful colours and the wonderful aromas combine to offer the most gorgeous location for any event.
