Best Intent Marquees were delighted to be invited back to work with Floors Castle Horse Trials in Kelso, Scottish Borders this May. Floors Castle Horse Trials has been a regular client for longer than we can remember and we have been thrilled to see it grow from strength to strength in recent years.
Having gained International accreditation, the event welcomes some of the UK’s best riders including the top ranked Oliver Townend, Olympic Rider Nicola Wilson and the incredibly popular Ben Hobday.
Best Intent provided a large clearspan framed marquee which was positioned in front of the Castle on a terrace providing a perfect platform to watch the action unfold. The marquee has three main sections: a large secretary’s tent where scores are displayed and riders collect their numbers, a smaller section provided catering to the army of volunteers that help make the event possible whilst the largest portion is reserved for the corporate hospitality. This section is lined with satin and decked out with wooden floors. Crisp white table linen and gorgeous floral centrepieces provided by the Castle’s gardeners add a touch of luxury to complete the look.
The hospitality at Floors Castle International Horse Trials is second to none. Guests are treated to a delicious menu of food created in the Castle Kitchen by the Duke of Roxburghe’s personal chef and his team. Some of the favourites included Honey Roast Ham on the Bone, a huge side of poached salmon served with Lemon Mayonnaise and Ottolenghi style salads.
